We recently reached the 300 client milestone. While we are just moving along with business as usual this milestone kinda just came and went so I thought i would blog about it.

Local SEO seems to be what everyone wants. Our reputation management marketing has produced olmost zero sales. I say almost… we got a few. But we seem to hitting our stride with Google Maps and Local Organic search. Everything is working and sticking. Companies are seeing results and asking us for more. We are getting referrals and seem to have some happy customers.

A few weeks ago Google changed the look of Google Places. They changed the layout  and dropped ” More about this place” from the individual business places page. I have received allot of question if Citations still matter.

Search has turned local. There is a reason why the paper yellow page companies are filing bankruptcy. Search is moving online and its going local. Google shows a map as the top listing when performing a search with a city name.

Additionally Google is also displaying a map even when you don’t specify a city. So when searching “what you need”, “BMW repair” in this example Google knows what city my computer is in and will display a map on the first page.
